Self Portraits

In Art we are learning to draw ourselves. We used mirror for a closeup of what we look like. Here are some of our wonderful creations:

For these portraits we used pencil, wax crayons and dye.

For these portraits we used a vivid marker pen.

Moutere Hills Junior Fun Day

Fun in the pool, a great waterslide, parachute activities and meeting up with some of our friends at our cluster schools were the highlight of our day at Mahana School. Thank you to all our parents who were able to help with transport and for encouraging us throughout the day. We are unable to do these trips without your support. You were all amazing!

Congratulations to our fastest girl and fastest boy representatives Phoebe and Morgan.

Phoebe came 1st in the Girls Backstroke and 2nd in the Girls Freestyle races
Morgan came 1st in the Boys Backstroke and 1st in the Boys Freestyle races.

What swimming superstars you both are!

Our Triathlon

Our buddies helped, encouraged and supported as throughout the event to ensure a fun filled afternoon was had. They helped us calm our nerves on the start line, ran alongside us as support, provided us with words of encouragement (particularly when some of us felt we were in 'The Pit') and were there to celebrate our achievements at the end.

We LOVE our swimming pool!

Summer means fun in our swimming pool.

Don't forget to bring your togs, towel and goggles to school as we will be swimming everyday, weather permitting.
