Get NZ Writing Challenge
We are participating in the Get NZ Writing Challenge run in conjunction with School Kit and Warehouse Stationery.
This is a New Zealand wide challenge where, once completed, we will swap our writing package with a class at Beach Haven Primary School in Auckland.
We were very excited to send our package off on Friday morning. We are eagerly awaiting their package to be sent to us.

Giraffes Can't Dance
We read the story Giraffes Can't Dance.
We then discussed how Gerald felt when he couldn't dance. We decided Gerald was in 'The Pit'. We compared this to times when we have felt we couldn't do something and what we did, or strategies we used to get ourselves out of 'The Pit'
We all agreed that believing in ourselves and 'having a go' was really important and that it is ok to make mistakes because that is how we all learn.
